In having such reverence for Earth, I've wondered how we can admire it's beauty while leaving it undisturbed. I think paintings are an incredible way to do just that. That is why I was inspired to create this series of mineral paintings, and share them with the world.

Amethyst is a type of quartz, with color ranging from light pinking purple to a brilliant deep royal purple. The word Amethystos means “save intoxication” in ancient Greek, a reference to the belief that the stone protected its owner from drunkenness. This magical stone has been used throughout the ages, including by ancient Egyptians who used it in protective amulets.
