Harebell Vinyl Sticker

This minute and delicate flower may be small, but it cannot be overlooked for its beauty. I have enlarged the flower significantly to capture its beauty, as the flower is naturally about an inch long, hanging atop a hair-thin stem.

The genus name, from the Latin campana (bell), means little bell. The name Harebell may allude to an association with witches, who were believed able to transform themselves into hares, portents of bad luck when they crossed a person's path. In Scotland, another old name for this plant was Witches Thimble. This perfectly describes it's shape and magic. 

The characteristics of this perennial vary considerably, depending on habitat conditions, but it's generally always a bluish-purple and exists in moist soils of meadows, hillsides, and forests.
