Loliondo Spessartine Garnet Watercolor Print

This is an archival giclee print of my original watercolor painting of a natural rhombohedral ( rhombic dodecahedron) spessartine garnet specimen from Loliondo, Tanzania. I think these orange garnets are some of the most compelling and interesting of the whole spectrum of garnet colors. Most people only think of the deep red garnets for January's birthstone, but this would make a nice gift for a January baby who likes different things (don't all Capricorns!?) Originally painted with traditional watercolor materials and techniques, this print excellently reproduces the watercolor magic with its rich tones and quality. It is printed on an archival, acid-free natural paper made of plant cellulose and cotton using premium quality pigment inks. This print won't ever fade or age. In having such reverence for Earth, I've wondered how we can admire it's beauty while leaving it undisturbed. I think paintings are an incredible way to do just that.
