Go off the eaten path!
Being able to identify wild edibles, preparing, and consuming them is one of the most empowering acts we can take in the modern age. Foraging takes your connection to the natural world several steps further than just being in nature. You get to understand plants, recognize them, form relationships with them, and finally eat them! Connecting at the cellular level. Not only that, but wild edibles are more densely nutritious since they haven't been homogenized and cultivated to bear specific characteristics- like being physically attractive. What a disservice that mentality that has done to every being on this planet. That being said, I hope the wild foods you find on this poster are beautiful to you and inspire you to connect with your locality in broader ways.
The Forager No. 1 Wild Edibles Foraging Poster is a handmade poster features reproductions of my original watercolor paintings of nourishing nibbles you’ll find in the forest. From common dandelions to the more elusive Salmonberry, 6 wild edibles are illustrated accurately and tastily so as to inspire you to study and look out for the abundance of food we can find on the wild land.
Featured are:
Salmonberry (Rubus spectabilis)
Goldenrod (Solidago canadanensis)
Stinging Nettle (Urtica dioica)
Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale)
Alpine Strawberry (Fragaria vesca)
WIld Currants (Ribes aureum)
This is an archival giclee print. Originally painted with traditional watercolor materials and techniques, this print excellently reproduces the watercolor magic with its rich tones and quality. It is printed on an archival, acid-free natural paper made of plant cellulose and cotton using premium quality pigment inks. This print won't ever fade or age.
Due to the organic nature of the paper this is printed on, very minor variations and flecks of fiber may appear on the paper.
Also, if you are looking for frame suggestions for this piece I recommend arttoframe.com for high quality yet affordable frames, and the Etsy shop HangerFrames for quality poster hangers. For this piece, I recommend a 17"-18" hanger.
16"x20" prints are sent flat, on a foam core backing board will protective covering. Turnaround is typically 1-3 days, but it can be 5 so patience is so appreciated.
***Watermark is not on the actual print, I just have to use that to protect my images***
